A Macao Chapter of NTHU Alumni Association is Established

On the 12th of March, four NTHU faculty and staff members, led by Vice President Ming-Chuen Yip travelled to Macao to participate in the founding ceremony of the NTHU Macao Alumni Association. As the number of alumni grows, NTHU is making a concerted effort to keep has alumni, including those who are currently residing outside of Taiwan updated on the development of their alma mater. The university has an Alumni Service Center specifically charged with the mission to serve as a liaison between alumni and their alma mater as well as a networking office to help NTHU graduates linking up with their classmates worldwide.
Mr. Chih-Wei Kao, the founding President of the Macao Association and a 2008 graduate from the Department of Computer Science, explained how the education he received from NTHU helped him to establish his career and he believes that his fellow graduates all cherish their educational experience at NTHU. He further thank Shu-Jiun Ge, a graduate of the Foreign Language and Literature Department in 2005, for contacting all NTHU graduates currently residing in Macao and successfully launched the Macao Chapter. As the key officers of this young organization, they have high hope that the Association will strengthen the connection between alumni and their alma mater and provide a platform upon which Tsing Hua people in Macao can interact and jointly pursue their common interests.
